Grant by Martin the Parson of Maperton, by consent of James de Novo Mercato, patron of the church of Maperton, to William de St. John, clerk, of the chapel of Blakeford, "in puram et perpetuam vicariam," paying therefor yearly to the mother church of Maperton 10s. by way of pension. Witnesses:- Master John de Hikeford, Richard and John, chaplains, Peter de Punttinton, knight, Roger de Weston, knight, Walter de la Crave, Clement de Beauchamp, and others (named) Dors.
