Description

Grant by Alice [Alesia], who was wife of Thomas late Earl of Lancaster, and daughter and heir of Henry de Lascy, late Earl of Lincoln, to her kinsman Hugh le Despenser, the younger, of the reaminder of the manors of Congelton, Wyteleye, Ronkore, and of the constabulary of Chester, with all advowsons, and other their appurtenances in c. Chester (which Joan, who was wife of the aforesaid Henry, holds in dower, of Alice's [Alesia's] inheritance, to revert to her on Joan's decease) from and after the death of the said Joan. Witnesses:- John de Britannia, Earl of Richmond, Aymer de Valence, Earl of Pembroke, Edmund, Earl of Arundel, Ralph Basset, of Drayton, William de Beauchamp, John de Barton, of Fryton, and Roger Beler.
