Hsü Kuang-chin to Bonham. Leasing of houses and land is matter purely for parties concerned and has nothing to do with Chinese government. Bonham's accusation is most unreasonable and is perhaps caused by bad translation of official despatches.
This record may have been treated with insecticide as part of a historical preservation treatment before transfer to The National Archives.
