Ch'i-ying to Davis. Viceroy Liu Yün-k'o of Min-Che is pleased that Davis is preparing for evacuation from Ku-lang-hsü once indemnity due in the last month of 24th year of Emperor Tao-kuang's reign is paid; suggests that evacuated foreigners lease temporary abode in Amoy.
