Hsiung to Chads. On 19 Oct 1842 a British merchant ship was wrecked in storm. All twenty-six sailors were saved by local officials, but one died of illness afterwards. Will return all twenty-five survivors tomorrow. Encl. List of names of twenty-five survivors, n.d.
