Chu-erh-hang-a to C. Elliot. Transmits Lin Tse-hsü's edict specifying manner in which opium is to be surrendered: (1) opium in factory area to be put outside buildings on 29 March; opium in Whampoa to be delivered on 30 March; (2) opium at Lintin to be delivered at Hu-men on 31 March and on 1 and 2 April; (3) British opium in Macao to be delivered at Sha-chiao; (4) opium clippers on high seas to be ordered to sail to Sha-chiao.
