Private notebook that was posthumously donated to the government of the day. The index is divided into two sections.
The first section is an index to 5 volumes being Vol. 1, SP 44/328 (1763-75); Vol. 2, SP 44/330(1775-83); Vol. 3, HO 36/4 (1783-85); Vol. 4, HO 36/5 (1785-87); Vol. 5, HO 36/6(1787-90).
The second section consists of an index to military books vols 1-30 being mostly various state papers domestic entry books (SP 44/164 - 196 and HO 51/146).
