Colonial office records of appeals to the Prize Court relating to claims arising from losses in war, enemy debts and reparations, including correspondence with custodians of enemy property in the Colonies.

Original correspondence relating to appeals to the Prize Court are in CO 969, with registers of correspondence in CO 988. Correspondence relating to First World War claims is in CO 848. Extracts from printed works relating to Prize Court cases are in CO 836 (naval appeals), CO 837 (overseas appeals), CO 838 (United Kingdom appeals) and CO 839 (naval prize appeals).
