Description

Draft enrolment of letters patent (1 roll filed Exchequer fashion, with note 'this was brought to me by Mr Benjamin Collinson writer to the six clerks on Tuesday the 14th day of December 1742. Henry Rooke'). The letters patent (which are not enrolled in C 66) are as follows: William Bridgman: annuity of ú400, 4 Oct; Henry Killigrew: grant of lands, etc, late of Hugh Willoughby alias Hugh Revell, 4 Oct; Phineas de Jeuda: pardon, 10 Sept; Thomas Doyley: grant of office of Engineer of the Mint, 4 Oct; Elizabeth, Viscountess Mordaunt: indenture with the king granting her portion of the duty on coals at Newcastle [upon Tyne], 28 Sept; John Lord Bellasis: exoneration in his account as governor of Tangier from 4 Feb 1664-2 Apr 1667, 13 Oct; Richard Derham and James Tilliard: grant of tenths arising from lands in Bedford Level, [Cambs], 4 Sept; Anthony Gilby: grant of sandbank, etc, in the mouth of the [River] Humber, 28 Oct; Charles Fitzroy: creation as duke of Southampton, 10 Sept; William Buckler and his son, Thomas: grant of the office for the making of gunpowder, etc, in the Office of Ordnance, 4 Oct; Henry [Fitzroy], earl of Euston: creation as duke of Grafton, 11 Sept
