Description

Coin face: appears to have been gouged out, possibly deliberate defacement, with a tool-mark cutting across a segment; chipped; traces of inner beaded circle, possibly one or two letters or stops, but nothing identifiable; traces of crown and face. Shaft: square in section where spike joins shaft, chamfered to octagonal, passing to round section below coin face. Spike rectangular in section at pointed end (8 x 9 mm.), slightly furred. Height of shaft 79 mm. Height of spike 47 mm. Diameter. of coin face as seen 27 mm.
