Description

Legend: + HENRICVS : REX <> ANGLIE - - - - Lombardic N; first stop double saltire; second stop single diamond. Coin face: five-pointed star (dexter) and trefoil (sinister) either side of crown: both very small; crown, hair, face and neck of tunic all reasonably clear; central compass point visible. Shaft: square in section where spike joins shaft, chamfered slightly to create octagonal, passing to round section c 13 mm. below coin face; tip of spike chisel-shaped; slightly bent. Height of shaft 78 mm. Height of spike 54.5 mm. Diameter. of coin face (no bevel) 21 mm.
