Description

1 item (originally accompanying a letter from Lieutenant Colonel Dixon to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 30 November 1842) extracted from WO 44/309. Cornwall: Falmouth. 'Pendennis Castle and Ordnance Ground': map showing possible sites for the erection of a telegraph transmitter on Ordnance property. Scale: 1 inch to 45 yards. Signed by Lieutenant H T D Scott, Royal Engineers, and by Lieutenant Colonel Dixon, Commanding Royal Engineer, Western District. An explanation of the lettered and numbered points on the map remains with Lieutenant Colonel Dixon's letter.
