3 items extracted from WO 199/467. Ordnance Survey quarter-inch Fourth Edition England and Wales [sheet 8]: (1-2) two copies of the complete sheet, covering the area between Leicester in the north, London in the south-east, and Thornbury, Gloucestershire, in the south-west; (3) the north-eastern corner only of the sheet, covering the area between Peterborough in the north-east, Luton, Bedfordshire, in the south, and Daventry, Northamptonshire, in the west. Layer colouring in brown. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles. [Military edition, ?produced c1840]. Overprinting, coloured, showing the War Office Cassini Grid (in purple) and air information (in red). MS additions, coloured, to all items, showing aerodromes and other installations to be given over to American (United States) troops. Typescript reference tables are affixed to the faces of items (1-2). Dimensions: (1-2) 49 cm x 73 cm; (3) 35 cm x 33.5 cm.
