Description

3 items (originally accompanying a letter from Lieutenant Colonel Ford to Lieutenant Colonel Rowley, 9 June 1813) extracted from WO 44/52. Kent: Dungeness. Three sheets of plans and sections of batteries. Reference tables to items (2-30). Scale: (1) 1 inch to 744 yards; (2-3) 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]. Compass indicators to items (1-2). Item (2) copied by E Bird, Royal Military Surveyor and Draughtsman, 24 May 1813. Item (3) signed by Captain Robert Thomson, Royal Engineers. All items signed by Lieutenant Colonel W H Ford, Royal Engineers.
