2 items extracted from WO 44/582. Ireland: King's County (now County Offaly): Parsonstown (now Birr). (1) 'Barrack Ground at Parsonstown': duplicate of (2), showing in addition a wall proposed to be built outside the barracks, resulting road, land let to Dr Warburton; and the gate referred to in letter of 24 January 1843 from the Barrack Master, Chatham, to the Board of Ordnance. The table of dimensions of proposed wall around the parade ground has been struck through. (2) 'Barrack Ground at Parsonstown': plan showing land to be let, acreage, proposed wall around the parade ground. Table of dimensions of proposed wall around the parade ground. Scale: 7 inches to 70 perches. Compass indicator. Originally drawn to accompany letter of 22 May 1835 to R H Byham, Secretary to the Board of Ordnance.
