Traced from a plan in the possession of the Surveyor for the city of Chester showing the relative position of the Government Property and the proposed Cemetery'. Scale: 1 inch to 2 chains. Compass indicator. Signed by T Foster, Major, Commanding Royal Engineer, to accompany his letter of 20 December 1847 to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
