2 items (enclosures in Colonel E W Durnford's letter of 28 November 1834) extracted from WO 44/281. Sussex. (1) 'Ground near Bexhill on which stood Tower No. 45': plan showing boundaries. Also shows a remnant of ground as measured in 1830; original line of bank; former high water mark. Compass indicator. (2) 'Magazine at Silverhill': plan showing boundaries. Scale: 1 inch to 50 feet. Both signed by E W Durnford, Colonel, Commanding Royal Engineer, 28 November 1834. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 28 cm x 43 cm; (2) 27 cm x 44 cm.
