1 item extracted from WO 44/507. City of London: Bank of England. 'Rough Tracing from a Ground Plan of the Bank taken on the authority of the Governor of the Bank ...'. Shows rooms and courts (named); proposed security measures, including flanking fire for each face, loopholes for fire into courts, new gates and doors. Scale: 1 inch to 15 feet. The original of this plan was signed by Edward Aldrich, Major CRE, on 29 April 1848; this is a copy, made by J Nightingale on 20 July 1848, of a copy certified by Aldrich on 13 June 1848.
