1 item (enclosure to copy of despatch dated 5 April 1854 from R C Moody, Capt RE, former Governor of the Falkland Islands, to J F Burgoyne, Inspector General of Fortifications) extracted from WO 1/486. 'East Falkland Island. Stanley Harbour with Ports William and Harriet Surveyed by Capt ns Fitzroy & Sullivan R.N. 1834-39'. Scale: 13.3 inches to 7 sea miles. Compass rose. Engraved by J & C Walker. Published by the Hydrographic Office of the Admiralty, 25 January 1847. Additions to 1851. MS additions show lines of fire from fortifications recommended by Moody for the defence of the harbour and town.
