Plans, elevations and sections of defence works at Alexandria, Egypt, showing armaments; and damage resulting from bombardment by the Anglo-French fleet on 11 July 1882. (1) Fort Silsileh. (2), (3) Fort Pharos: fort and heavy battery. (4), (5) Fort Adda: the fort, barracks and heavy battery. (6)-(12) Fort Ras-el-Tin: the lines, right, centre and left batteries, the fort and a Beverley-Kennon gun pit, and west front. (13) Fort Saleh-Aga. (14), (15) Forts Oom-Kabebe and Komaria: the forts, and heavy battery at Oom-Kabebe. (16)-(18) Fort Meks: the fort and lines, centre and left batteries. (19) Fort Namusia. (20) Fort Dekkeleh.
