Additional title in centre above map: 'The Grand Expedition'. The continental area shown now lies in Belgium, southern Denmark, northern France, western Germany, and the Netherlands. Shows distances in miles between the principal ports, and bearings from London. Scale calculated. 'Intended as an illustration to the operations of the British Forces employ'd in the Grand Expedition.' Laid down by John Luffman, Geographer, 377 Strand, London, and published by him on 31 July 1809.
