Description

38 sheets of the Ordnance Survey of Ireland one-inch map: more than one series is represented. Outline editions unless otherwise stated. The revised sheets each bear a key to conventional signs; the unrevised sheets do not. All sheets except (38) engraved and published at the Ordnance Survey Office, Dublin: the unrevised sheets were engraved under the superintendence of G A Leach, Capt RE, who held that rank between his appointment in 1854 and 1858; such maps have therefore been dated [c 1855]. (1) Sheet 136 'Durrow'. Surveyed 1840-1841; revised 1898; published 1899. (2) Sheet 137 'Carlow'. Surveyed 1837-1839; revised 1898; published 1900. (3) Sheet 137 'Carlow'.
