Five drawings of officers' barracks proposed to be built on former Victualling Department land at Portsmouth, Hampshire. Originally drawn to accompany letter of 3 July 1828 from Lt Colonel Burgoyne to General Mann; subsequently accompanied letter of 28 August from Burgoyne to Mann. Each sheet has an uninscribed space for signature on 28 August 1828. (1) Elevation and section. Scale: 1 inch to 8 feet. Signed by J F Burgoyne, Lt Colonel RE, 21 August 1828. Pencilled additions. (2) Ground floor and basement plans. Scale: 1 inch to 8 feet. Pencilled additions. (3) First floor plan. Scale: 1 inch to 8 feet. (4) Second floor plan. Scale: 1 inch to 8 feet. (5) Plan of part of the harbour, showing site of the proposed barracks. With an overlay. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet.
