'A General Map of Ireland to Accompany the Report of the Railway Commissioners shewing the Principal Physical Features and Geological Structure of the Country'. Also shows railway lines, place names, soundings, offshore currents. Inset sections showing strata. Uncoloured reference table to geological strata. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles; vertical scale of sections 1 inch to 1 mile. Four sheets. Constructed in 1836. Engraved in 1837-1838. Geology revised and improved in 1855. Published and sold by Hodges & Smith, Dublin, and Longman & Co, London. Red ink additions highlight towns. Each sheet is initialled at a different date in 1866 or 1867. An endorsement notes that this was to illustrate report on signalling, 24 August 1867.
