Cape of Good Hope (now in South Africa). 'Plan of Camps Bay, Cape of Good Hope Surveyed by order of the Hon. Robert Stopford, Rear Admiral of the Red & C. in C. at the Cape, taken March 1812 by P.W. Gawthrop, Master of H.M. Ship Lion'. Scale: 7.8 inches to 1019.5 yards (stated to be equivalent to half a nautical mile). Detailed account of method of survey. Compass indicator. Copied by J Azerond, draughtsman. Signed by Henry Smart, Capt CRE, and received from him in 1813.
