Description

(1, 2) A list of photographs to be taken of War Department properties in Bermuda. The list is signed by G H Gordon, Colonel CRE, 18 February 1880.
With the list are thirteen plans showing forts, barracks, defence works and other War Department property (see below): some points numbered and lettered on the plans correspond to entries in the list. All the plans are signed by J J Leverson, Lt RE, and were originally drawn to accompany the Commanding Royal Engineer's letter of 17 December 1877.
(3) Plan of part of St George's Island. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet.
(4) Plan of part of Boaz Island. Scale: 1 inch to 20 yards.
(5) Plan of part of Prospect Hill. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet.
(6) Plan of Fort Langton. No scale shown.
(7) Plan of Fort Hamilton. No scale shown.
(8) Plan of Fort Prospect. Scale: 1 inch to 30 feet.
(9) Plan of Alexandra Battery. Scale: 1 inch to 30 feet.
(10) Plan of the Scaur Hill position. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet.
(11) Plan of Fort Cunningham. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet.
(12) Plan of part of Ireland Island. Scale: 1 inch to 160 feet.
(13) Plan of part of Agar's Island. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet.
(14) Plan of part of Hamilton. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet.
(15) Plan of Little Whale Battery for three guns. Scale: 1 inch to 10 feet.
(16) Blank sheet formerly used as a wrapper.
Dimensions of sheets: sizes between 66 cm x 91 cm and 28 cm x 45 cm.
