Description

(1, 2) Two notes indicating that the maps at (3, 4) below were forwarded for the Inspector General of Fortifications by Major Ardagh. They were apparently once attached to the maps. (3) Duplicate of the eastern sheet of (4). (4) 'Alexandria and neighbourhood. Map by Maj. Ardagh R.E. 1882' (endorsement). Shows the coast of Egypt about 30 miles eastward from Alexandria. Scale: 1.25 inches to 1 mile. Two sheets joined. Dimensions of sheets: (1, 2) 21 cm x 8.5 cm; (3) 67 cm x 50 cm; (4) 89 cm x 64 cm.
