Original and four copies of a plan of St John's, Newfoundland (now in Canada). (1) Copy of (2) by by F Gould, 20 November 1766. (2) 'Plan of the Harbour, Town and Fort of St. Johns in Newfoundland with part of the Country adjacent ...', showing operations of troops under Lt Colonel William Amherst against the enemy, 13-18 September 1762. Reference table to operations. Scale: 1 inch to 800 feet. Compass indicator. Surveyed and signed by Hugh Debbieg, Capt, Engineer on the expedition. (3) Dummy sheet inserted by the Public Record Office in 1966 to explain the absence of the map. (4) Copy of (2) by William Test, 3 December 1763. (5) Copy of (2) by J Adams, RMSD, 1810. (6) Copy of (2) by G. Williams, RMSD.
