Germany: Heligoland. (1) 'A plan for converting the temporary barracks at Heligoland into a permanent Establishment for a Detachment consisting of 1 Captain, 3 Subalterns, 4 Sergeants and 128 Rank & File': this pencilled title replaces the original which read: 'Plan of Barracks intended to be Erected in the Island of Heligoland'. MS, with pencilled additions. Scale: 8 inches to 80 feet [1:120]. (2) 'Plan and Elevation of a Building proposed for the Residence of the Lieut. Governor of Heligoland, 1817' with plans of cellars under servant's room, office, servant's bedroom over kitchen etc. MS, coloured. Scale as (1). Measurements of rooms given. (3) Similar to (2) but showing plan of cellars under dining room etc. (4) Similar to (1) but incorporating suggested amendments. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 45 cm x 50 cm; (2) 50 cm x 67 cm.
