Ostend (now in Belgium). (1) '[Plan of Oste]nd': shows fortifications, batteries, military buildings, gates, waterways. Scale: [1:5,000]. Reference table (in French) in a separate column edging the left border. Compass indicator. Drawn by David Robinson, [RMSD]. Transmitted by [James] Carmichael Smyth, Lt Col RE, Aug 1814. Most of the title and part of the reference table have perished. (2), (3) 'Sections thro' the different fronts of Ostend': four sections on one sheet and six sections on another. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]. Drawn by David Robinson and transmitted by Carmichael Smyth, July 1814. All three sheets are endorsed: '(Original)... 1814'. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 72 cm x 93 cm; (2) 64 cm x 95 cm; (3) 60 cm x 95 cm.
