Newfoundland: St. John's. 'A Plan of a Tower and surrounding Casements for Barracks, Stores &c. Recommended for the occupency [sic] of the Summit of Signal Hill in connection with Captain Durnford's former project transmitted Decr. 1809': three plans and four sections on one sheet. Reference table to rooms, defences etc. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet. Signed by E W Durnford, Capt RE, 30 November 1811. From its appearance, this plan is the work of T G W Eaststaff, RMSD, who was stationed in Newfoundland in 1811; his name is not visible on the plan.
