Lancashire: 'A Plan of the Town & Township of Liverpool, From an Actual Survey taken in the Year 1785 by Cha s. Eyes'. Shows streets, docks, fields with occupiers' names, mills, places of worship, public buildings, names of adjoining townships. Title in oval cartouche in front of a view of the town across the River Mersey. Scale: 3.8 inches to 500 yards. Compass rose: oriented to the east. Engraved by Thomas Conder. Published by Charles Eyes, Liverpool, 1 June 1785. Sold by J Johnson, St Paul's Churchyard, London. An area above and below the Exchange is marked in blue pencil [?to show new streets]. Bears Board of Ordnance stamp.
