Three copies of a plan of lands, tenements and hereditaments judged necessary to be purchased for the fortification of the docks at Harwich, Essex. Compass indicator. Scale: 1 inch to 8 perches. (1) Uncoloured copy by Thomas Ayres: certified by him to be a true copy of plan no 6 mentioned in the account of proceedings of the Commissioners for purchasing land. The copy was probably made in or about 1709; Ayres died in 1715. (2) Copy made by Robert Hoddle, [c 1811]. Boundaries coloured. (3) Copy incorporating comments by J Hanway, Maj, October 1709.
