'The Counties of Middlesex, Essex & Hertfordshire Actualy Survey'd by Several Hands Corrected and Amended & Humbly Dedicated to the Nobility and Gentry of the said Counties by Phil: Overton Mapseller in Fleet Street and Tho: Bowles, Mapseller in S t. Paul's Churchyard 1726'. Map showing hills, rivers, roads, county and hundred boundaries (coloured), churches, mills, estates, place names, distances between towns. Note on depiction of roads, boundaries, distances etc. Key to conventional signs. Compass rose. Latitudes and longitudes shown; the map also bears a grid of squares each representing 3 square miles. Scale: 8.375 inches to 20 miles. Title in cartouche surmounted by the royal arms. Insets: north prospect of Colchester (with key to buildings); plan of St Albans dedicated to Thomas Gape.
