(1) 'A view of the Frame and manner of fixing the Ropes as set up for determining the effects of Landgridge, Case and Grape Shot against Rigging': illustration and tabulated results of experiments at Landguard Fort, Suffolk, on 20 and 21 September 1780. Scale: 1 inch to 5 feet. Signed by Abraham Tovey, Lt Col of Artillery. The experiments were carried out by order of Viscount Townshend. (2) Coloured copy of (1). (3) Uncoloured copy of (1). Each sheet is annotated: 'B:11. F:21'.
