Three sheets of drawings of defences on St Christopher, all endorsed as coming from Charles W. Shipley, Brig Gen CRE West Indies, Barbados, 3 September 1808. (1) 'Plan, and Section of a Wall, to Close the East Gulley of the Post at Brimstone Hill... as recommended by the Board of Officers sent to the West Indies in 1791'. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet. (2) 'Plan & Section Shewing the works already executed, and what is farther proposed,... for compleating the project for Monkey-Hill or Fort Charlotte'. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet. Compass indicator. Signed by Shipley, 3 September 1808. (3) 'General Plan of Brimston Hill' (endorsement). Reference table to batteries proposed to be established. Part of the right side of this plan has perished, including title, scale and key to lettered points. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 25.1 cm x 50.5 cm; (2) 49.5 cm x 67.3 cm.
