The Malta sheet of 'Plan of the Islands of Malta and Gozo' (for title see WO 78/729). Compass star. Surveyed and drawn by J W Worsley, Lt RE, Royal Engineers' Office, Valletta, 1824. Outline engraved by C. Callaghan, writing by J.E Ainslie, hills by W. Archibald. Title added in MS: '2" Map of Malta Showing site proposed for a Barrack for a Reg t. of infantry on the North front Bengemma Madalena line'. Coloured MS additions. Signed by T Holden, QMSRE, chief draughtsman, and W Phillpotts, Col CRE, 14 June 1887, to accompany the CRE's report of that date. A note of 19 February 1894 cites Treasury approval of road-widening schemes; no reference to this was found in T 108/12.
