Dorset. 'Weymouth and Portland': chart with soundings. Compass indicator. Admiralty chart 2255: surveyed by Captain Sheringham, Lieutenant Cox and Mr Taylor, RN, 1850; engraved by J and C Walker; published by the Admiralty, 9 May 1855; with additions and corrections, 1861-1904, including resurvey of Portland Harbour in 1872. Sold by J D Potter. Printed insets: coastal approach views. MS title: 'Plan Showing Position and Elevation of Datum Post Redcliff Point'; MS colouring of datum post and coastal lights; and MS inset: datum post, scale 1:16. Signed Lieutenant Colonel E M Burton, Commanding Royal Engineer Weymouth, 15 September 1905. Stamped: Commanding RE Weymouth, 15 September 1905. Initialled: [?GMS], 13 September 1909.
