Isle of Wight: Sconce Point. (1) 'Plate 1': plan of fortifications. Scale: 1 inch to 15 feet. Signed Lieutenant Lothian Nicholson, Royal Engineers, 19 January 1852. (2) 'Plate 4': sections and elevation of fortifications. Scale: 1 inch to 8 feet. Both signed by R O Mennie, Clerk of Works, 18 January 1852; and by Colonel Frederick Smith, Commanding Royal Engineer South West District, to accompany his report to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 20 January 1852. Dimensions: (1) 63.8 cm x 81 cm; (2) 101.1 cm x 126.2 cm.
