Kent: Sheerness. (1) 'Design for a Mode of filling the space between the Masses and Wharf... and also for a new Wall on the North side of the Entrance to the Mud Dock': plan, elevation and section. Scale: 1 inch to 25 feet. Endorsed: Received from Sir G Hoste, 31 October 1816. (2) Plan of the arches at the back of the Masses. Scale: 1 inch to 12.5 feet. Signed by Major George Hoste, RE, 31 December 1816. (3) Similar version to (1), by T Beer, Royal Military Surveyor and Draughtsman 2nd Class, December 1815. Scale: 1 inch to 25 feet. (4) Similar version to (1), by R S [Richard Searle] and J Harwood [?Hanwood], Cadet, December 1815. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet. (1)(3) and (4) annotated: 'See M r Barrow's letter to the Board of Ordnance dated Admiralty Office 30 th Nov. 1815. and his note to M r Crew dated 1 st Dec. 1815'.
