Hampshire. (1) 'Plan of Gosport with the New Intrenchment and Covert-Way'. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet [1:2400]. Compass indicator. Original survey by R G Bruce, Engineer, January 1758. Inset: Sections of the new intrenchment and covert-way; scale: 1 inch to 30 feet [1:360]. (2) Copy, by Thomas Chamberlain. (3) Possibly the original copy; damaged, with title missing. (4) Copy, initialled 'TS'. Defence works probably undertaken [c1757-1758], in relation to the Seven Years War (1756-1763).
