Signed Lieutenant Colonel M A Waters, Commanding RE, West Indies, 5 September 1848; to accompany his Report of 31 August 1848. Inset: Location plan showing Bridgetown, Carlisle Bay and Charles Fort. Scale: 1 inch to 2200 feet. Compass indicator. MS faded pencil annotation: relates to letter 123 from Lieutenant Colonel W C Ward Commanding RE to the Inspector General of Fortifications, 11 January 1851.
