'A new and correct Chart of the Channel between England and France... as observed by the Learned Dr. [Edmund] Halley': showing the coasts of England, France and Ireland, coastal settlements, shoals, soundings, tidal information and magnetic variation. Approximate scales: 1 inch to 4 English or French leagues [12 nautical miles; 1:875,520]. Compass lines and stars. Inset charts: (1) Plymouth Sound; (2) The Isle of Wight; approximate scales: (1) 1.25 inches to 1 english mile [1:50,688]; (2) 2.3 inches to 10 miles [1:275,478]. Sold by R Mount & Company on Tower Hill, London.
