1 item (originally enclosed in despatch number 36 from Freeman Murray, Governor and Commander-in-Chief, Bermuda, to Lord John Russell, Colonial Office, 26 April 1855) extracted from CO 37/151. 'Plan of one of the convict prisons at Boaz Island, Bermuda, showing the interior fittings': sheet bearing plans of the ground and upper floors, side and end elevations, and a cross-section, showing doors, windows, stairs, and cells with hammocks. Reference notes. Scale: 1 inch to 4 feet. Signed: Lieutenant Alfred G Goodall, Royal Engineers, 6 April 1855. A note states: 'To accompany letter dated 20th April 1855, to His Excellency the Governor of Bermuda'; signed: Lieutenant Colonel Monty Williams, Commanding Royal Engineers.
