'France 1:25,000': map comprising 15 joined sheets, of which three are 40/18 SW ('St. Aubin'), 40/18 SE ('Houlgate') and 38 NE ('Honfleur'); the combined map covers most of eastern Calvados department, including the coast between Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer and the mouth of the River Seine, and territory as far inland as Fleury-sur-Orne, Argences and Pont-l'Évêque. Reference table (partly trimmed away). Sheet 40/18 SE is a second edition, dated March 1944; sheets 40/18 SW and 38 NE are third editions, the former dated April 1944. Most of the remaining marginalia (sheet numbers, titles, dates, etc) are no longer visible due to trimming and joining. Coloured MS additions show British military operations, including regimental gun areas and air and sea routes. Explanations of individual additions appear on small paper labels affixed to the face of the map. A similar label affixed to the dorse of the map bears the title: '1/25,000 Map of Regimental Positions of 53 (Worcs Yeo) Airldg Light Regt RA Normandy June 6 - Sept 2 1944'.
