Description

1 item, numbered 11, extracted from AIR 1/586/16/15/188 PT.II. Durham; Yorkshire, North Riding. Ordnance Survey one-inch Third Edition England and Wales (Large Sheet Series): sheets 11, 15 and 16 joined to form a map of the coast between Sunderland and Robin Hood's Bay, and areas as far inland as Lanchester and Richmond. Reference tables; indexes to neighbouring sheets. Compass indicators. Revised 1904; published by the Director General, Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1907; railways revised to 1914. MS additions, coloured, marking the courses taken by hostile aircraft during a raid on the night of 27-28 November 1916.
