3 items (originally accompanying a letter and estimate by Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Brown, Commanding Royal Engineer, 26 April 1847) extracted from WO 44/507. Ceylon (now Sri Lanka): Trincomalee. Three sheets of drawings showing proposed alterations and new works at Fort Ostenberg: (1) plan and sections; (2-3) sections. Reference table to item (1). Scale: 1 inch to about 40 feet [1:480] (plan); 1 inch to about 20 feet [1:240] (sections). Compass indicator to item (1). Drawn by Captain A Ross, Royal Engineers. Dimensions: (1) 68 cm x 189 cm; (2) 27 cm x 167 cm; (3) 17 cm x 58 cm.
