3 items, numbered 6-8, (originally accompanying a letter of 23 November 1848 from W Lamb Arrowsmith, Civil Engineer, Superintendent of Government Works, Malta) extracted from WO 44/507. Malta: Grand Harbour. (6) Plan showing sites for coal stores and gas works, and a proposed new road. (7) Elevation of the area shown on item (6). (8) Elevation showing naval property and buildings proposed to be demolished and replaced. Scale: (6) 1 inch to about 725 feet; (7) 1 inch to about 420 feet; (8) Scale bar unfinished [?3 inches to about 100 feet]. Each sheet signed by Mr Arrowsmith, 10 October 1848.
A list of the drawings sent in Mr Arrowsmith's letter remains at the parent piece reference; in addition to the three drawings filed on this roll, 17 others, numbered 1-5 and 9-20, are now filed at MPH 1/879, and two seem not to have survived.
