Description

2 items (originally illustrating a narrative of events for the period 1-16 June 1921, by the British Delegation, Serbo-Bulgarian Boundary Commission) extracted from FO 371/5803 (folios 209-210. Bulgaria; Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Map on 2 sheets: item 1 consiting of parts of 3 joined sheets; item 2 consisting of parts of 2 joined sheets; the two composite sheets together covering the area (now in Bulgaria and Serbia) around Bankya, Bosilegrad, Caribrod (now Dimitrovgrad), Klisura and Trun, showing place names in Cyrillic script, rivers and contours. MS titles: (1) 'Sector 3 extending from pt Descani Kladenac (8 kilometres N.E. Gl. Rodina) to point 1191'; (2) 'Sector 2 extending from point 1576 Stremina Kuca to point Descani Kladenac'. MS additions, coloured, to both items, transliterating some place names into the Roman alphabet and marking some additional place names; and showing the Peace Treaty theoretical boundary line agreed by the Boundary Commissioners in November 1920, modifications proposed by the Bulgarians, and a line subsequently agreed upon. MS reference tables, in English. MS compass indicators. Dimensions: (1) 104 cm x 122 cm; (2) 140 cm x 63 cm.
