The items now on these rolls were said to have formerly comprised map extract references MPK 28 and part of MPK 56; both of these references have subsequently been reused. Evidence that MPK 28 was a former reference is slight and the supposition as to its use is believed to have arisen from a transposition of the number of the parent piece, FO 302/28. It is definite that MPK 56 was a former reference.
